Methodology

The directory publishes factual information about plumbing businesses that serve Philadelphia: business name, stated services, stated service areas, general business locality, phone, website, regular hours, and — where configured — license numbers. 68 businesses are currently listed.

A business appears in a neighborhood or section only when it has explicitly stated that it serves that place, lists a ZIP code in it, or states that it serves all of Philadelphia. Each placement is labeled with the kind of claim behind it.

A listing is not a recommendation, license verification, quality rating, background check, or endorsement. We do not publish ratings, reviews, or "best of" labels. Verify licensing, insurance, and references directly with any business before hiring.

Facts come from businesses' own websites and published listings, public registration records, and corrections submitted by the businesses themselves. Every listing shows the date its facts were last refreshed. We withhold residential addresses, private emails, and any fact that conflicts between sources until it is resolved.

Organic listings are not ranked by quality. Claimed profiles appear first, then unclaimed listings. Within each group, order rotates every week so no business holds the top position permanently.

On neighborhood pages, businesses that name the area in their service area appear first, then businesses that list a ZIP code in it, then businesses that state they serve all of Philadelphia. The same claimed-first, weekly-rotation rule applies inside each group.

Anyone can suggest a correction. Businesses can request removal of their listing. All changes are reviewed before publishing.

Claiming is always free. Call (267) 625-2651, text CLAIM to the same number, or use the email form.
